They are designed to lay flat with the surface of wood flooring, providing a smooth seamless look. Each frame is grooved on the outside to accommodate 3/4″ tongue and groove flooring. It is recommended that these floor registers be installed during flooring installation but it is not required. Flush mount floor vents add a touch of elegance and professionalism to any hardwood floor.
